The Face is the Window to the World

The Association of Facial Plastic Surgeons is a none profit making organisation, established by a group of Maxillofacial Surgeons interested in developing a forum for the training and education of accredited surgeons from a variety of surgical disciplines whose main interest is facial and plastic reconstructive surgery including cosmetic facial surgery.

There are no regulations covering the training of cosmetic surgeons but the Royal College of Surgeons advises that qualified specialists should be registered on the General Medical Council's Specialist list.

The founding aim of this association is to support and encourage best practice in facial surgery. The Association of Facial Plastic Surgeons seeks to inform and educate the public on the treatments available for the management of facial cosmetic conditions and reconstruction of facial deformities.
